Oracle Retail spans dozens of modules and no consultancy is credibly expert across all of them. These five are where our work concentrates, and where we are prepared to be judged on depth rather than coverage.

RMFCS

Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service

RMFCS is the system of record for item, price, cost, inventory position and the stock ledger. When it is wrong, every downstream system is wrong — and the finance team finds out first.

Store Inventory Operations Cloud Service

SIOCS is where head-office inventory theory meets what is actually on the shelf. It runs on handhelds, in stockrooms, operated by staff who have four minutes to finish the task before a customer needs them.

Retail Sales Audit

Sales Audit sits between the point of service and the general ledger. It is a module of Merchandising Cloud Services rather than a standalone product, which is part of why it is the least-discussed thing in the suite — and why it is the one people only notice when it fails.

Retail Integration Bus

Every Oracle Retail estate is really an integration estate. RIB moves the messages that keep merchandising, stores, point of service and finance agreeing with each other — and when a message stops moving, the symptom always appears somewhere other than the cause.

Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service

Xstore is the till. When it is down, the store stops trading, and the tolerance for defects is lower than anywhere else in the estate. It is also the most heavily customised application most retailers own.
